ToneSight uses a native DSP engine built on YIN, pYIN and ACF algorithms, the same family of methods found in professional pitch tools. It tracks pitch, accuracy, vibrato and onset in real time. Accuracy depends on your microphone and environment, but for typical voice and instrument practice it is more than enough to spot pitch problems.

Yes. The core features (real-time pitch curve, tuner, metronome, reference layers and history) are free forever and contain no ads. Some advanced capabilities may arrive later through a Premium plan.

No account and no sign-up, ToneSight is ready to use out of the box. All audio analysis runs locally on your device, so you can practice fully offline.

Absolutely. Your microphone audio is processed entirely on your device by a built-in native engine, and zero bytes are uploaded to our servers. Recordings stay local and leave your device only when you choose to export or share them.

ToneSight works with any pitched sound source, including voice, guitar, bass, strings and wind instruments. It is available on both iOS and Android, with full native audio and system sharing.

You can draw a target pitch curve on screen, or import one you received. Reference layers overlay on the live chart so you can sing or play against a goal. They are shared as encrypted .tsl files and import cleanly across devices.

Any recent iPhone or Android phone with a microphone works. For the clearest pitch curve, practice in a quiet space and, for instruments, use an external mic or a direct line-in when possible.
