What is ToneSight

ToneSight (音见) is a mobile music practice companion. It helps you train pitch, tune your instrument, keep time with a metronome, and track how you improve over time. All audio analysis runs natively on your device — nothing is uploaded.

Permissions

ToneSight requests only the permissions it needs for the features you use. You can review or revoke any of them in your device settings at any time.

Microphone Required

Used for pitch detection, tuning and recording. Audio is captured from your device microphone and analyzed on-device to detect pitch and give feedback. It is never transmitted to us or any third party. If you deny this permission, audio-based features will not work.

Storage / Files Optional

Used only when you save a session, export WAV files, or import a reference-layer file. Files are written or read on your device and leave it only when you explicitly share them through your system share sheet.

Other

The app may keep the screen on during practice and use the system share sheet. It does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, or call history.
